I would like to recommend Mr. Vilmantas Siaulys, who was the real estate broker representing me in the sale of my apartment in Vilnius. My situation at the time of deciding to sell my apartment was that after having lived in Vilnius as a foreigner for over five years, I decided to move back to Finland. Being a foreigner and unable to speak the local language, I was very careful in selecting a broker who could not only communicate well in English, but whom I felt I could trust to handle such an important and delicate matter. Vilmantas was not the first broker whom I contacted in order to do this, but he was the last. Already from the beginning of our first meeting with him, I understood from this interaction that our personalities would be compatible with respect to our ability to work together as a team in achieving our goal of selling my apartment. Over those few months that it took to reach this goal, Vilmantas proved this first impression correct several times and not once did I regret signing the contract entrusting him with this task. As evidence of the quality of his services, he not only showed me all of the excellent work he had done in a number of meetings totalling several hours during the few months it took to achieve this goal (e.g., advertisements posted on all official portals for the sale of real estate in Lithuania as well as unofficial ones on various social media sites, conversations with potential buyers and bookings of visits to the apartment with potential buyers, etc.), but in the end, he was able to sell my apartment for a price that was significantly higher than I had ever expected, higher than any other local broker had promised previously, higher than even that of similar apartments within the same apartment complex, even in comparison to his own colleagues from Capital (itself known as one of the best real estate brokerages in the Baltics) who were also selling apartments in this apartment complex and surrounding area, and above all, he achieved this in an area already known for higher-priced apartments, i.e. Linkmenu street, within the Vilnius microdistrict of "Šnipiškės", so the simple fact that I chose him instead of another broker paid for itself several times over (it should lastly also be noted that this was achieved during a general cooldown in the real estate market not only in Lithuania, but throughout Europe, due to mortgage lending interest rate hikes by the ECB). His best attribute both as a broker and as a person in my view was undoubtedly his skill in communication. His open and empathetic style of communication was of great assistance in understanding a number of particularities of the handling of such real estate transactions in Lithuania, explaining each and every unclear step of the process, and he showed that he was also a person of high character with a strong sense of professional ethics, and left me very satisfied with respect to the general exertion of effort into his work, the quality thereof, and all other aspects of his performance.
